The Mills family departs, and the changing of the guard (and the beds — thank goodness for housekeeping!) brings Grandma to LA for a week. Bex returns home from school to hugs and kisses. Auditions and call backs happened earlier in the week so things are quiet now. Tonight is class with Adrian followed by after class socializing.
Their assignment was to do their monolog while engaging in some other activity. Bex decided to sit on the floor and play solitaire during the monolog. Her rehearsal at home was so moving. The report from others was that it was a huge success in class. Adrian said he would put her up against anyone.
Thursday was tutoring until lunchtime followed by lunch at home, neuro feedback and a visit to Trader Joe’s for provisions. We cooked hamburgers on the very nice outdoor grills and met and visited with neighbors as karaoke night began. Grandma met Sierra’s mother and assured her that Sierra will be much safer with Bex driving than she will be with G’ma driving in LA!

Last night of class… Great accolades… Adrian R’Mante speaks of Bex’s natural, raw talent!
|We missed the beginning of Adrian singing her praises but did capture the end of his comments about Bex. The actual transcript (very brief) is below the video …
At the end of introducing Bex, Adrian is talking about Thomas Richards, an agent with the Corsa Agency (who represents Bex), and Bex’s impact:
Adrian: “But I say that since then, because of Bex, he’s opened his heart towards my ‘kids’ … and he’s signed a few more since then but she’s the first one that broke that mold, ’cause I brought him a couple times and he didn’t sign anybody.”
“She was the first person. So, Bex …”
Wednesday, Jan. 25
Morning Bex preparing for an afternoon audition for a movie for TV, “Who’s Your Monster?”
We climb into the Jetta together for the first time (thanks PaSid!), and quickly name her “Mama Jett” — cause she’s gonna watch over Bex and take good care of her while she’s here!
2:00 p.m. arrived at “Good luck Charlie” studios on Bixel Street for audition for “Monster”
3:15 p.m. Bex walks out and says, “Adrian (CAC) is going to kill me. I’ve got a call-back tomorrow and am going to be late for class.” If she only knew! Woo –hoo — one audition, one call-back.
5:00 p.m. Bex to class
6:00 p.m. Texts and phone starts — audition scheduled for 3:00 tomorrow, coaching scheduled for 1:30. Here’s the catch– gotta navigate some medical appointments on Thur & Fri, but all will be well, I’m sure.
8:00 p.m. Get it all resolved, work it out, manage the logistics with the agent (this is definitely a more stressful time of year out here than summer!)
10:30 p.m. Bex collapses (she thinks she’s tired now!)
